PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a milking unit of a vacuum-piping-type milking machine capable of protecting a liquid-crystal display panel from impact or vibration and housing the panel so that the panel can be employed as a display unit.SOLUTION: A casing 20 for housing a milking vacuum pressure supply valve mechanism 25, a teat-cup-unit lifting mechanism 26, a control unit 33a for controlling the vacuum pressure supply valve mechanism 25 and the lifting mechanism 26, a liquid-crystal display panel 30 for providing display and operation about the control unit 33a, and a switch board 32 includes a base unit 21, a body cover 22, and an internal cover 23 secured to the body cover 22 in such a manner as to cover and enclose the liquid-crystal display panel 30 and the switch board 32 from their back sides.
