A process for producing a VLP derived from influenza, the method comprising: a) constructing a recombinant baculovirus construct encoding a set of influenza structural proteins, said group consisting of M1, HA and NA b) transfecting, infecting or transforming a suitable host cell with said recombinant baculovirus and culturing the host cell under conditions permitting the expression of M1, HA and NA c) allowing the formation of a VLP in said host cell, wherein the structural proteins of influenza virus VLP consist of said M1, HA and NA d) collecting the infected cell media containing a functional influenza VLP of e) purifying the VLP.Un procedimiento para producir una VLP derivada de la gripe, comprendiendo el procedimiento: a) construir una construcción de baculovirus recombinante que codifica un grupo de proteínas estructurales de la gripe, consistiendo dicho grupo en M1, HA y NA b) transfectar, infectar o transformar una célula hospedadora adecuada con dicho baculovirus recombinante y cultivar la célula hospedadora en condiciones que permiten la expresión de M1, HA y NA c) permitir la formación de una VLP en dicha célula hospedadora, en la que las proteínas estructurales del virus de la gripe de dicha VLP consisten en M1, HA y NA d) recoger los medios celulares infectados que contienen una VLP de la gripe funcional y e) purificar la VLP.
