PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for detoxifying sterilizing gas, having a compact constitution, capable of detoxifying sterilizing gas by passing the gas through a catalyst in the heated state to a desired temperature.SOLUTION: In an apparatus for detoxifying sterilizing gas discharged from inside a sterilization tank, having a double pipe structure comprising an internal cylinder 2 and an external cylinder 3, a catalyst 4 is provided in the internal cylinder 2, and the external cylinder 3 is heated by a heater. Gas from inside the sterilization tank is passed through a clearance between the internal cylinder 2 and the external cylinder 3, and then passed through the catalyst 4 in the internal cylinder 2. When the sterilizing gas is gaseous formaldehyde, preferably, gaseous formaldehyde is mixed with air through an intake port 7c provided for taking the outside air, and then passed through the catalyst 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】コンパクトな構成で、滅菌ガスを所望温度に加温した状態で触媒に通して無害化できる滅菌ガス無害化装置を提供する。【解決手段】滅菌槽内から排出される滅菌ガスを無害化する装置であって、内筒2と外筒3とからなる二重管構造とされ、内筒2内に触媒4が設けられる一方、外筒3がヒータで加温される。滅菌槽内からの気体は、内筒2と外筒3との隙間を通された後、内筒2内の触媒4を通される。滅菌ガスがホルムアルデヒドガスの場合、外気の取入口7cを備え、ホルムアルデヒドガスに空気を混入して、触媒4に通されるのが好ましい。【選択図】図1
