Předmětem vynálezu je použití cholylhydrazonů (hydrazonů kyseliny cholové) mající substituovanou 2-hydroxyarylovou nebo 2-N-(hetero)arylovou skupinu. Látky vzorce VI potlačují vznik amyloidu beta (Aβ), redukují jeho toxické účinky na buňky, chelatují ionty biologicky významných kovů a snižují oxidační stres a lze jich tak použít k přípravě terapeutik pro prevenci a léčbu Alzheimerovy choroby a dalších neurodegenerativních poruch a onemocnění.The subject of the invention is the use cholyl hydrazones (cholic acid hydrazones) having a substituted 2-hydroxyaryl or 2-N-(hetero) aryl group. The compounds of the formula inhibit formation of amyloid beta (Aβ), reduce its toxic effects on the cells, chelate biologically significant metal ions and reduce oxidative stress and can be thus used for the preparation of therapeutics for the prevention and treatment of Alzheimers disease and other neurodegenerative disorders and diseases.
