PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric reel rapidly turning a clutch mechanism in a clutch-off state to a clutch-on state.SOLUTION: A return mechanism 10 puts a clutch switching mechanism 9 into a clutch-on position by rotation of a motor and a handle. The return mechanism 10 includes a return gear 101 and a return engagement part 102. The return gear 101 rotates in response to rotation of the motor and the handle. The return engagement part 102 is engaged with the return gear 101 when the clutch switching mechanism 9 is located at the clutch-off position. Engagement between the return engagement part 102 and the return gear 101 is released when the clutch switching mechanism 9 is located at the clutch-on position.
