PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bipolar high-frequency treatment instrument for an endoscope, capable of optionally and accurately controlling the direction of opening/closing by smoothly rotating a pair of high-frequency electrodes, which are electrically insulated from each other and openable/closable like a beak, around the axis by the operation from the proximal end of a flexible sheath.
SOLUTION: The high-frequency electrodes 3 are attached to an electrode support body 4 which is attached to the distal end of the flexible sheath 1 in such a way as rotatable around the axis. A torque wire 2A with high rotation transmissibility is used at least as one of a pair of conductive lines 2A and 2B, and one conductive line 2A (2B) is coated with an electric insulating material. The other conductive line 2B is spirally wound around the one conductive line 2A composed of the torque wire, and by rotationally operating the conductive line 2A composed of the torque wire from the proximal end side of the flexible sheath 1 around the axis, the electrode support body 4 is rotated around the axis to change the direction of opening/closing of the pair of high-frequency electrodes 3.
