PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel perfume material capable of adding or enhancing natural feeling to citrus aroma and flavor.SOLUTION: There is provided 2(E), 8(Z)-tetradecadiene-1-al represented by the following formula (1) and a perfume composition containing the same as an active ingredient. There is provided the perfume composition containing 5 ppb to 10% of 2(E), 8(Z)-tetradecadiene-1-al.EFFECT: The 2(E), 8(Z)-tetradecadiene-1-al exhibits unique green note, flavedo-like, fruit-like and resin-like aroma and can add and enhance natural feeling or flesh feeling to citrus aroma and flavor even with small amount of addition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
