PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorization catalyst having durability, specifically a deodorization catalyst having durability, which can be used in a water section space that has high humidity and has such a possibility as to be exposed to acidic or alkaline atmosphere.SOLUTION: The deodorization catalyst has at least a metal substrate 31, an intermediate layer 32, and a deodorization catalyst layer 33, and deodorizes air by passing the air through a communication port of the metal substrate 31, bringing the air into contact with the catalyst layer 33, and decomposing and/or adsorbing an odor material contained in the air. An opening cross sectional area of the intermediate layer 32, which occupies the communication port, is set at 9.3% or more.
