The present invention relates to a composition containing a Caryopteris incana (Thunb.) Miq. extract. The composition containing the Caryopteris incana (Thunb.) Miq. extract as an active ingredient exhibits excellent 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical scavenging activity, thereby showing effectiveness in antioxidation. Inhibition of tyrosinase also brings whitening effects as well, and wrinkles can be ameliorated by inhibiting activity of elastase. In addition, the Caryopteris incana (Thunb.) Miq. extract of the present invention does not cause cytotoxicity and adverse effects on skin.
