Seed drill with vertically adjustable depth-guide elements which are arranged behind the seed coulters and the sliding faces of which are in an at least approximately parallel position to the ground surface in the operating position. In order to use the depth-guide elements at the same time for pressing down the seed grains deposited in the sowing slits made by the seed coulters, provision is made for the sliding faces of the depth-guide elements to have, at least in part of their face bearing on the ground surface, a respective elevation which corresponds at least approximately to the contour of the sowing slits made by the seed coulters.
