The present invention relates to the treatment of vascular disease in a diabetic patient using a drug-eluting implantable medical device that releases an mTOR inhibitor (e.g.,everolimus) from three distinctly loaded drug reservoir layers wherein at least one of the layers comprises at least 200 µg/cm2 of an mTOR inhibitor and further wherein the mTOR inhibitor is the only therapeutic agent in the layers or the layers or any combination thereof further comprise an anti-inflammatory agent or an RGD peptide or both.La présente invention concerne le traitement d'une maladie vasculaire chez un patient diabétique à l'aide d'un dispositif médical implantable à élution de médicament qui libère un inhibiteur de mTOR (par exemple, évérolimus) à partir de trois couches de réservoir de médicament chargées de façon distincte, au moins l'une des couches comprenant au moins 200 µg/cm2 d'un inhibiteur de mTOR et, en outre, l'inhibiteur de mTOR étant l'unique agent thérapeutique dans les couches, ou les couches ou toute combinaison de celles-ci comprenant en outre un agent anti-inflammatoire ou un peptide RGD ou les deux.
