PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overtube in which the outer peripheral surface of a probe 12 contacts an observed part 21 as much as possible.SOLUTION: A first bend portion 3 more flexible than the other portions is formed on the outer peripheral surface of a distal end of the overtube 1. A second bend portion 4 is formed closer to the distal end than to the first bend portion 3. When an endoscope insertion portion 10 having the overtube 1 attached thereto comes close to the observed part 21 in a body cavity 20, the endoscope insertion portion 10 is bent in the direction of the observed part 21. Then, the overtube 1 is also bent at the first bend portion 3. When the probe 12 protrudes from the insertion portion 10 and the distal end of the overtube 1 is pressed on the observed part 21, the second bend portion 4 is bent.
