<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical guide wire having high bonding strength of a coil spring to a core wire, furthermore, capable of shortening the shaping length when compared to a conventional wire. <；P>；SOLUTION: This medical guide wire includes a core wire (10) having a distal end-side small diameter section (11) and a proximal end-side large diameter section (14) and a coil spring (20) mounted along the axis direction on the outer periphery of the distal end-side small diameter section (11) of the core wire (10), having a tip-side small diameter section (21), a tapered section (22), and a rear end-side large diameter section (23), and secured at least the tip and rear end thereof to the core wire (10). The tip-side small diameter section (21) of the coil spring (20) has a length in the range from 5 to 100 mm, the coil spring (20) has an outer diameter of 0.012 inches or less, the tip of the coil spring (20) is secured to the core wire (10) by means of Au-Ge based solder, and the length of the rigid portion at the tip section secured by the Au-Ge based solder is 0.1-0.5 mm. <；P>；COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
