PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting work machine that can guide seedlings on a seedling placing platform to a planting unit side more smoothly, by stably mounting and supporting a seedling pressing tool with a simple configuration, in the planting work machine with the seedling pressing tool to press down the seedlings placed on the seedling placing platform in the placing surface side.SOLUTION: A planting work machine includes a seedling placing platform formed of a placing surface, and a planting unit for scraping seedlings on the placing surface and planting them in the field side. The seedling placing platform has a guide unit for guiding the seedlings on the placing surface toward the planting unit, a lateral direction frame member provided with at least 2-pieces in the rear side of the seedling placing platform, a seedling pressing tool for pressing down the seedlings on the placing surface, and a mounting bracket for mounting and supporting the seedling pressing tool.
