PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe in which a ground route to a ground electrode of each vibrator has been enhanced.SOLUTION: A transmission and reception unit 30 of an ultrasonic probe includes a laminate block consisting of a vibrator array 54, a hard backing layer 56, and a backing 58 with a built-in lead array, and a conductive frame 80. The conductive frame has a metal thick plate-like part provided so as to cover the four side faces of the laminate block. The conductive frame 80 is grounded, and is electrically connected to an upper electrode of each vibrator included in the vibrator array 54.
