An inhaler 1 comprises a housing 2 to receive a strip of blisters 6 each having a puncturable lid and containing a dose of medicament for inhalation by a user, a mouthpiece 5 through which a dose of medicament is inhaled by a user and, an actuator 7 operable to sequentially move each blister6 into alignment with a blister piercing element 9. The actuator is also operable to cause the blister piercing element 9 to puncture the lid of a blister 6 such that, when the user inhales through the mouthpiece 5, an airflow through the blister 6 is generated to entrain the dose contained therein and carry it out of the blister 6 via the mouthpiece 5 into the user's airway.
