The present invention relates to a composition for promoting effective reproductive stem formation in plants including MAX2-leucine rich repeat (LRR) domain protein or gene coding the same. Specifically, the present invention increases the yield of seeds and biomass of plants by promoting effective reproductive stem formation when overexpressing MAX2-LRR domain protein of the present invention in the plants. Accordingly, the composition including MAX2-LRR domain protein having the effects and gene coding the same is able to be usefully applied for increasing biomass for bioethanol production, yield of seeds for biodiesel production, and yield of food crops using seeds for consumption by increasing effective reproductive stems.본 발명은 MAX2-LRR(Leucine Rich Repeat) 도메인 단백질 또는 이를 코딩하는 유전자를 포함하는 식물체의 유효 번식성 줄기 형성 촉진용 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 구체적으로 본 발명의 MAX2-LRR(Leucine Rich Repeat) 도메인 단백질을 식물체에 과발현시켰을 때, 유효 번식성 줄기 형성을 촉진시켜 식물체의 바이오매스 및 종실의 수확량을 증가시키는 효과를 가진다.따라서 상기와 같은 효과를 갖는 MAX2-LRR 도메인 단백질 또는 이를 코딩하는 유전자를 포함하는 조성물은 유효 번식성 줄기를 증가시켜 궁극적으로 바이오에탄올 생산용 바이오매스의 증가, 바이오디젤 생산용 종실의 수확량 증가, 및 종실을 식용으로 이용하는 식량작물의 수확량 증가를 위해 유용하게 사용될 수 있는 특징이 있다.
