PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing line that can greatly improve a tensile breaking strength, and alternatively, can be made into a small diameter extremely easily while maintaining a fixed tensile breaking strength, then, is superior in abrasion resistance and binding easiness, and greatly facilitates conformance with the width standard, and further is light, flexible and durable.SOLUTION: A magnitude of tensile breaking strength of metal wire may not necessarily contribute to the tensile breaking strength of a fishing line comprising composite yarn of the metal wire and synthetic fibers. By paying attention to this, multifilament yarn of synthetic fibers having a fixed mechanical strength property is used for both of the core and the outer circumferential side of the core which constitute the fishing line.
