A surveillance device (25) monitors the integrity of a fluid connection (C)betweenfirst and second fluid containing systems (S1, S2) based on at least one time-dependentmeasurement signal from a pressure sensor (4a-4c) in the first fluidcontaining system (S1).The first fluid containing system (S1) comprises a first pulse generator (3),and the secondfluid containing system (S2) comprises a second pulse generator (3'). Theintegrity of thefluid connection (C) is determined based on the presence of second pulses inthemeasurement signal. The second pulses may be detected by analysing themeasurementsignal in the time domain and/or by using timing information indicative of thetiming of thesecond pulses in said at least one measurement signal.
