The irrigation composition is an aqueous solution which is mainly based on the antimicrobial activity of cationic nanoparticles and is effective for wide spectrum long lasting disinfection of dental surfaces during root canal treatment and other dental procedures such as restoration, reconstruction, and periodontal treatment. The irrigation composition includes silver nanoparticles, ethanol, and sodium hydroxide and water. Such solutions are useful in a variety of dental procedures applications, including, but not limited to, root canal therapy preparation of cavities reconstructive and cosmetic dentistry such as veneers, crowns and periodontal procedures as well.
