PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to efficiently purify water used for hydroponics.SOLUTION: There is provided a purification device for purifying water for hydroponics comprising a discharging unit (62) equipped in a storage tank (61) storing water given to plants (200) and performing discharge in water in the storage tank (61), and an ultrasonic wave generating unit (94) for irradiating with ultrasonic waves the water in the storage tank (61). The discharging unit (62) is constituted by being equipped with an electrode pair (64, 65, 464, 465, 564, 565, 664, 665) for generating electric discharge in the water, and a power source unit (70), so as to generate hydroxyl radicals in the water.
