PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PET imaging technique which can quantitatively evaluate neurogenesis in brain, and to provide a method for evaluating cranial nerve diseases or the effect of a therapeutic agent for cranial nerve diseases using the PET imaging technique.SOLUTION: We found out that a combination of [18F] FLT or [11C]-4DST which are PET tracer with a drug transporter inhibitor enables quantitative PET imaging of neurogenesis in brain.
