1. The invention relates to the application of siddha drug siddhar kalimbu for the treatment of diabetic ulcer wounds. This drug has been employed to heal the wounds of those who suffer from diabetic ulcer. 2. In the present invention siddhar kalimbu was prepared from the formulation containing bone ash, copper sulfate, middharsingh (Lead Monooxide), pooram (Mercurous Chloride), gingelli oil (Sesame Oil) and wax. 3. In the present invention copper nanoparticles are synthesized by probe sonication method. 4. In the present investigation ascorbic acid and chitosan have been used as reducing and capping agent respectively. 5. The invention disclosed herein relates to the drug siddhar kalimbu for diabetic patients. 6. In one embodiment, the siddhar kalimbu is employed for the treatment of ulcers, in another embodiment the copper nanoparticles is employed and in third embodiment siddhar kalimbu is mixed with copper nanoparticles. In another embodiment the antimicrobial, in vivo and clinical studies of siddhar kalimbu were carried out. 7. The synergistic effect of siddhar kalimbu and copper nanoparticles in their mixture for wound healing process is confirmed by invivo and clinical studies. The efficacy of the drug mixed with copper nanoparticles(CuNPs) for wound healing is confirmed by antimicrobial studies.
