PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an index calculation device for calculating an index correlated with a pulse pressure without using a multiple regression equation.SOLUTION: An index calculation device 10 includes a pulse wave propagation speed calculation unit 15 for calculating pulse wave propagation speed from a heartbeat-related signal, a blood vessel diameter change amount calculation unit 12 for calculating a blood vessel diameter change amount from the heartbeat-related signal, and an index calculation unit 16 for calculating an index correlated with a pulse pressure of an organism by multiplying a square of the pulse wave propagation speed by the blood vessel diameter change amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
