PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing ice confectionery excellent in smooth texture.SOLUTION: Ice confectionery is produced by using a continuous type freezer including a cylinder 1 freezing water of a raw material mixture flowing through its inside, and a dasher 2 agitating the inside of the cylinder 1, while scraping-off deposits on the inner wall of the cylinder 1. The raw material mixture containing vegetable oils and fats, an emulsifier, a sweetener, a stabilizer and water, and air are fed to the cylinder, the number of rotations of the dasher 2 is kept at &ge300 rpm, and the mean particle diameter of ice crystals of the ice confectionery is kept &le45 &mum.
