PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suturing device capable of easily and reliably forming a seam or a knot by a mechanical action that is based on a simplified operation.SOLUTION: The suturing device includes: a needle 30 which holds a first string-shaped member L1 and is reciprocally movable in a given direction； and a shuttle 26 which has a holding part 62 holding a second string-shaped member L2, and which has a first hook-shaped end part 64 and a second hook-shaped end part 66 provided on their respective sides of the holding part 62, the shuttle being rotatable in both directions about a line (a center axis line C1) that is parallel to the direction of the reciprocal movement of the needle 30.
