The present invention provides a medicament having a wider treatment spectrum, causing a fewer side effects and superior in tolerability and safety, as compared to known typical antipsychotic agents and atypical antipsychotic agents. The medicament of the invention is for oral administration and comprises (I) a compound which is 7-[4-(4-benzo[b]thiophen-4-yl-piperazin-1-yl)butoxy]-1H-quinolin-2-one or a salt thereof, and (II) at least one drug selected from the group consisting of a serotonin reuptake inhibitor and a serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. The serotonin reuptake inhibitor is at least one drug selected from the group consisting of fluoxetine, citalopram, fluvoxamine, paroxetine, sertraline, escitalopram and salts thereof, and The serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor is at least one drug selected from the group consisting of venlafaxine, duloxetine, milnacipran, desvenlafaxine and salts thereof.
