Disclosed is an isolated antibody to lysyl oxidase-like-2 (LOXL2) or an antigen binding fragment thereof that specifically binds to an epitope within amino acids 325 through 434 of the sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO: 1, wherein the sequence is as disclosed in the specification. Also disclosed is the use of the said antibody to access the level of LOXL2.
