FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: group of inventions involves dental abrasive assemblies (versions) and methods for assembling, refers to medical equipment, particularly to dental instruments, and is applicable in turning, grinding and polishing dental materials. In the first version, a rotating dental abrasive assembly comprises a structurally solid abrasive element and a generally cylindrical disk holder. The structurally solid abrasive element has a generally round port with the minimum internal diameter where the abrasive element returns to the normal position the abrasive element comprises an elastic polymer composite containing abrasive particles. The generally cylindrical disk holder has an outer surface, a long axis and a bulb-like working end inserted into the port. The working end is sectioned by elongated slots extended from the outer surface of the disk holder to the long axis. The working end has the maximum outer diameter where it returns to the normal position, while a set of sections and the abrasive element bend simultaneously once the abrasive element engages with the disk holder and disengages with the same. As the disk holder is engaged with the port of the abrasive element, the working end contracts elastically to the diameter smaller than the maximum outer diameter, whereas the port expands elastically to the diameter greater than the minimum inner diameter.
