PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable planter for farm product-cultivating use, and to provide a method for producing the planter.SOLUTION: The biodegradable planter is such that: the planter body 1 is composed of biodegradable material fibers comprising waste paper as a first material and a second material prepared by mixing the first material with at least one of wood chips, cellulose fibers, soybean curd refuse and red bean jam rinds.
