The present invention provides a method for generating a spectral Doppler image by an ultrasonic Doppler imaging apparatus which can increase accuracy of a diagnosis position and temporal efficiency. The method comprises: a step of performing color Doppler processing on first ultrasonic data to generate a color Doppler image； a step of determining position information of a plurality of blood vessels included in the color Doppler image； a step of receiving a user input selecting one among the plurality of blood vessels； a step of determining a maximum speed position where a blood flow rate is maximum in the selected blood vessel and a blood vessel angle of the selected blood vessel； a step of setting an angle of an ultrasonic beam transmitted to a subject based on the maximum speed position and the blood vessel angle； and a step of using second ultrasonic data acquired as the ultrasonic beam is transmitted to the subject to generate a spectral Doppler image for the selected blood vessel.초음파 도플러 영상 장치가 스펙트럴 도플러 영상(spectral Doppler image)을 생성하는 방법이 개시된다. 본 방법은 제1 초음파 데이터에 대한 컬러 도플러 프로세싱(color Doppler processing)을 수행하여 컬러 도플러 영상을 생성하는 단계； 컬러 도플러 영상 내에 포함된 복수의 혈관들의 위치 정보를 결정하는 단계； 복수의 혈관들 중에서 하나를 선택하는 사용자 입력을 수신하는 단계； 선택된 혈관 내에서 혈류 속도가 최대인 최대 속도 위치 및 선택된 혈관의 혈관 각도를 결정하는 단계； 최대 속도 위치 및 혈관 각도를 기초로, 대상체로 송신되는 초음파 빔의 각도를 설정하는 단계； 및 초음파 빔이 대상체로 송신됨에 따라 획득되는 제2 초음파 데이터를 이용하여, 선택된 혈관에 대한 스펙트럴 도플러 영상을 생성하는 단계를 포함한다.
