PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel standing assist device that is capable of assisting a person to stand up from a chair while preventing the person from accidentally falling down.SOLUTION: The standing assist device according to the present invention comprises two frames that face in approximately parallel with each other, a seat surface part disposed between the two frames, a first link and a second link which connect the two frames and the seat surface part, and first biasing means for biasing the first link in the direction separating from the frames.
