PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent delivery system which has no influence on the performance of a balloon catheter, can be easily machined, and can be mounted on a balloon without adversely affecting a stent, while preventing the stent from falling off or moving when inserted into a narrow part.SOLUTION: The stent delivery system comprises: a balloon-expandable stent 10 and a stent delivery catheter for delivering the stent to a treatment site. The stent delivery system has a holding tube 7, which is disposed outside an inner tube 3 and inside the balloon 1, and the proximal end of which is located inside the balloon.
