PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of suppressing occurrence of separation of a prism of a camera module, breaking of a transmission cable, and separation of a junction.SOLUTION: A prism 41 is fastened to a prism fitting frame. One end of a cable coupler 45 is fastened to a transmission cable 44. The cable coupler 45 is fastened to a fitting cylinder part 40a of a prism holder 40 after a locking claw 47 provided at the another end of the cable coupler 45 is locked on a front end surface of the fitting cylinder part 40a. A camera module 10 is disposed inside a front end hard part so that an image sensor 42 is close to an inner peripheral surface of the front end hard part. The cable coupler 45 can be disposed in a free space between the inner peripheral surface of the front end hard part and image sensor 42. Capability of increasing a size of the cable coupler 45 within a capacity of the free space makes it possible to ensure coupling strength and suppress separation of the prism 41 or a junction and breaking of the transmission cable 44.
