PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe designed so that an internal unit can be firmly fixed in a probe head case in an intracavitary insertion type probe, and exhaust heat from an electronic circuit substrate in the inside unit can be effectively executed.SOLUTION: An inside unit (inside assembly) includes: an oscillator unit 20 a relay substrate 22 an electronic circuit substrate 24 and a backing member 26. The backing member 26 is held while being placed in a backing case 33. The backing case 33 is held by two recessed parts formed inside a radiation shell 16 as a probe head case. A heat-exhaust sheet is joined to the circumferential region at the back surface of an electronic circuit substrate 24.
