The invention concerns the use of an immunotherapeutic agent comprising cell wall fragments of a virulent strain of Mycobacterium tuberculosis- complex (MTB-C) for the preparation of unmedicamento for the prophylactic treatment of tuberculosis, wherein said agent is obtainable by a process comprising the following steps: cultivate the virulent MTB-C for a time period equal to or greater than three weeks and subsequently homogenize the cell culture in the presence of nonionic untensioactivo.La invención concierne al uso de un agente inmunoterápico que comprende fragmentos de pared celular de una cepa virulenta de Mycobacteríum tuberculosis- complex (MTB-C) para la preparación de unmedicamento para el tratamiento profiláctico de la tuberculosis,en donde dicho agente es obtenible por un procedimiento que comprende las siguientes etapas: cultivar la cepa virulenta MTB-C durante un período de tiempo igual o superior a tres semanas y, posteriormente, homogeneizar el cultivo de células en presencia de untensioactivo no iónico.
