PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulinotropic peptide derivative increased in the blood stability and the insulinotropic activity.SOLUTION: An exendin-4 derivative substituted by N-dimethyl-histidyl is produced by chemically modifying histidine, which is the first amino acid of exendin-4, which is an insulinotropic peptide. The exendin-4 derivative exhibits better blood stability and higher insulinotropic activity than the native exendin. A pharmaceutical composition for treating diabetes contains the insulinotropic peptide derivative.【課題】血中安定性及びインスリン分泌活性が増加したインスリン分泌ペプチド誘導体の提供。【解決手段】インスリン分泌ペプチドであるエキセンディン－４の一番アミノ酸であるヒスチジンを化学的に変性させることにより作成したＮ－ジメチル－ヒスチジルに置換されたエキセンディン－４誘導体、天然型エキセンディンより優れた血中安定性及び高いインスリン分泌活性を示すエキセンディン－４誘導体。また該インスリン分泌ペプチド誘導体を含む糖尿病治療用の薬剤学的組成物。【選択図】なし
