Provided is a multilayer container having gas barrier properties and transparency suitable for a packaging material for medical use which requires a heat sterilization treatment. A multilayer container for medical use which comprises a layer (X) that is mainly composed of one or more water vapor barrier polymers selected from among polyolefin resins and a gas barrier layer (Y) that is formed from a polyamide resin composition (P) and wherein the polyamide resin composition (P) contains: 10 45% by mass of a polyamide resin (A) that contains a diamine unit containing 70% by mole or more of a constituent unit derived from xylylenediamine and a dicarboxylic acid unit containing 70% by mole or more of a constituent unit derived from a linear aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having 6 18 carbon atoms; and 90 55% by mass of a polyhexamethylene isophthalamide/polyhexamethylene terephthalamide copolymer (B). Also provided is a method for producing a multilayer container for medical use.
