The present disclosure relates generally to antibodies and functional binding fragments thereof that bind to programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1). In particular, the antibodies and fragments of the present disclosure bind to human PD-L1 and contain a novel complementarity determining region (CDR) also disclosed herein. Finally, the present disclosure relates to administering the antibodies and fragments of the present disclosure to a subject with cancer, thereby treating or delaying cancer progression or growth.
