PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image display device and a medical image storage system, capable of preventing degradation of an image quality of medical image data and converting annotation data into data based on a DICOM standard while suppressing the increase of a storage data region.SOLUTION: A medical image display device comprises: a storage unit 2 that stores medical image data based on a DICOM standard and annotation data associated with the medical image data and not based on the DICOM standard； a display unit 3 that displays an overlapped image of a medical image corresponding to the medical image data and annotation corresponding to the annotation data； an extraction unit 4 that extracts a pixel region having a specific color value from the overlapped image； a conversion unit 5 that converts image data corresponding to the extracted pixel region into annotation data based on the DICOM standard； and a storage unit 6 that stores the annotation data based on the DICOM standard in association with the medical image data.【課題】医用画像データの画質の劣化を防止し、保存データ領域の増大を抑制しつつ、アノテーションデータをＤＩＣＯＭ規格に準拠したデータに変換すること。【解決手段】記憶部２は、ＤＩＣＯＭ規格に準拠した医用画像データと医用画像データに関連付けられＤＩＣＯＭ規格に準拠していないアノテーションデータとを記憶する。表示部３は、医用画像データに対応する医用画像とアノテーションデータに対応するアノテーションとの重ね合わせ画像を表示する。抽出部４は、重ね合わせ画像から特定のカラー値を有する画素領域を抽出する。変換部５は、抽出された画素領域に対応する画像データをＤＩＣＯＭ規格に準拠したアノテーションデータに変換する。保存部６は、ＤＩＣＯＭ規格に準拠したアノテーションデータを医用画像データに関連付けて保存する。【選択図】 図１
