Disclosed is a peptide of the following sequence: Phe-Thr-Asp-Asn-Tyr-X, wherein X is absent or selected from the group consisting of: -Thr-Arg； -Thr-Arg-Leu-Arg-Lys-Gln； -Thr-Arg-Leu-Arg-Lys-Gln-Met-Ala-Val-Lys； and -Thr-Arg-Leu-Arg-Lys-Gln-Met-Ala-Val-Lys-Lys-Tyr-Leu-Asn； or conservative substitutions thereof. The disclosed peptide is used in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment or prophylaxis of myocardial fibrosis and/or hypertension.
