The present invention relates to a medical stent coated with a composition comprising a photosensitizer and a drug for coating a drug-eluting stent, and to a manufacturing method thereof. According to the present invention, the drug-eluting stent comprising a photosensitizer and a drug enhances the permeability of the drug eluted from the stent into tissues using light energy less than light energy used to photodynamic therapy, and increases the efficiency of permeating the drug into tissues in comparison to a conventional medical drug-eluting stent, thereby accelerating drug adsorption.
