PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved bone anchor that is especially useful for application to a bone weakened due to osteoporosis.SOLUTION: A bone anchor comprises an anchor member 1 that includes: a first open end 11 a second end 12 a tubular section between the first end 11 and the second end 12 a longitudinal axis L extending from the first end to the second end and a bone engaging structure 16 for engaging at least a portion of the tubular section with a bone. The anchor member 1 is made of a first material. Furthermore, the bone anchor comprises a core member 2 that includes a first end 21 and a second end 22, and is capable of being inserted into and connected with the anchor member.
