PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treated wood which exhibits excellent durability to harmful environmental factors and to provide others related thereto.SOLUTION: According to this invention, a woody material is treated with a wood treatment composition containing at least one C1-C7 monocarboxylic acid, salt thereof, or mixture thereof and at least one chelating agent. These monocarboxylic acid or others and chelating agents are kept dissolved in a liquid aqueous medium.
