PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hepatopathy prophylactic that has a limonoid-containing substance derived from citrus as an active ingredient.SOLUTION: A hepatopathy prophylactic of the present invention has a limonoid-containing substance derived from citrus as an active ingredient. Specifically, such an ingredient is a limonoid-containing substance extracted and separated from citrus, and its major components are limonin, deacetylnomilin, and ichangensis. Chloroform is preferable as extraction solvent. Although a type of citrus is no object, their seeds in which a large amount of limonoid is contained are desirable.【課題】かんきつ類由来のリモノイド含有物を有効成分とする肝障害予防剤を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の肝障害予防剤は、かんきつ類由来のリモノイド含有物を有効成分としている。すなわち、かんきつ類から抽出分離されたリモノイド含有物で、主要成分はリモニン、デアセチルノミリン、イチャンゲンシンである。抽出溶媒にはクロロホルムが好適である。かんきつ類の種類は問わないが、部位はリモノイドが多量に含まれている種子が望ましい。【選択図】なし
