PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patient support apparatus having automatic contour adjusting function for lifting patients knee supported on a deck when the head part of the deck is lifted.SOLUTION: The head part 42 is lifted to tilt at least one drop rail 66 to a frame 26. A linkage 400 has a first mode of the operation in which when at least one drop rail 66 tilts, a seat section 44 and a thigh section 46 are substantially in parallel.
