The present invention relates to N-alkylaryl-5-oxyaryl-octadihydrocyclopent[c]pyrrole negative allosteric modulators of NR2B receptors useful in the treatment of neurological diseases having the Formula I where R1, R2, L1, L2, X, Y, and Y’ are described therein. In an aspect, compounds of formula I are described and pharmaceutically acceptable salts, prodrugs, solvates, hydrates, tautotmers, or stereoisomers thereof wherein: L1 is straight or branched C1-C5 alkyl optionally substituted with one or more substituents selected from the group consisting of OH, OR10, NH2, NHR10, and N(R10)(R10’) provided that no more than one oxygen or nitrogen is attached to any carbon.
