PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an applicator for a tampon which has a grip tube portion showing good touch and a slip stopping part reliably making contact with fingers.
SOLUTION: The applicator for a tampon is equipped with an outer tube 2 containing an absorber 4 therein and provided with a push-out opening 8 for pushing out the absorber 4 on one side thereof and with a grip tube portion 7 on the other side thereof, and an inner tube 3 which is inserted into the grip tube portion 7 and can push out the absorber 4 from the push-out opening 8 to the outside by moving into the outer tube 2. A plurality of rows of protrusions 11, 12, 13, 14 are formed along the axial direction of the grip tube portion 7, wherein the rows of protrusions have: four chevron protruding parts 11a, 12a, 13a, 14a which rise from four places circumferentially on the peripheral surface of the grip tube portion 7, and in which the grip tube portion 7 has a radical cross-section having arcuate tops and four base surface parts 11b, 12b, 13b, 14b which are provided between respective protruding parts 11a, 12a, 13a, 14a and formed of peripheral surfaces of the grip tube portion 7.
