A fresh gas supply port (1) is arranged between the inspiratory valve (3) and the dilution valve (5), a port (7) for distributing gas to the patient is arranged between the inspiratory valve (3) and the expiratory valve (4), and a gas discharge port (8) is arranged between the expiratory valve (4) and the dilution valve (5).
