This document discloses an ecofriendly method for making biodegradablecontainers from algae.The method can be broken down to two main stages. The former consists ofprocessing the algaein order to separate its solid content (filter cake) from its liquid content(agar-rich filtrate).Meanwhile, the later and subsequent stage consists of molding the cake into acontainer andapplying to it the agar-rich filtrate as a coating and adhesive agent. Thisprocess can be utilizedto design containers of various shapes depending on the mold apparatus used.Based on theirshapes, such containers can then be used to fulfill the purpose of any regularcontainers. Thatincludes but is not limited to packaging, food/liquid storage andtransportation.
